Uneducated are NOT responsible for Uneducated remain Uneducated


UNEDUCATED ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE to REMAIN UNEDUCATED  !  

Then who are responsible ! 
 
It is academic institutions, academic processes, academic philosophies, academic concepts which are responsible for Uneducated remain Uneducated. These instituions , processes, philosophies, academic concepts are not created by the UNEDUCATED. 

YES...You and me clearly know who created all this paraphernalia which is NOT supporting the UNEDUCATED becoming educated. Rather in tandem all this paraphernalia is perfectly contributing to uneducated remain uneducated.

Last 100 Yrs story of education is PROOF of this.

In my view, uneducated remain uneducated in future is more harmful to the EDUCATED than to the UNEDUCATED. Truly speaking the adjective,  'Educated' must make them wise enough to understand this truth. 

In case, if the same so called 'successful educational methods of the past' are continued into the future,  then, sure, uneducated remain uneducated ! !

In the best self interest, educated must change the philosophy, processes, concepts and institutional which are not contributing for uneducated becoming educated.

2. I'm in this model  for 15 yrs. Is it your research topic?  This is not a Thesis? No.. and It is my life

3. I was unhappy with what academics is doing .. Students and society need not think the way I think. I am a educator . My purpose is very different. 

Luckily I had great insight of education.. 
Spoke to students, Got  great insight,  working to Solve their problems. 

As per my own evaluation its working s  horrible!  ..Purpose is to make it better ! 

4. I was teaching most Elegant and wonderful subject called MANAGEMENT  which  is medicine for  every problem in the world.  Such a subject learning is not making the students not elegant and wonderful ! Rather it is spoiling and exploiting,  slaving the people.  Why and How come ! . A pity ! 

5. The problems of education  have their origin in this one  simple reason. Is learning not meant  to be useful  to the learners ? 

6. Education is USEFUL But - it is ..Future useful , Little  Useful ;  and Others useful 
                                    Faida - Zaldi aur Poora  aur Pahle Mujae ! 

If a student can do  .. A Student will do it
If a student spent it - The student will earn it ! 

7. Damage is  invisible  and slow 

8. This is happening to most intelligent students picked up on year on year . To get this damage done students are paying in hard way and that too in big way ! They are doing .Is it ignorance ? 

9. My GOAL is. ... What I can do , at least little and  minimum that I can do, one student. One time, One percent but here and now

Yes it is..Post poning the repayment of loan by  showing pursuit of studies as an  excuse, and  trying  to re pay loan  by doing jobs is in reality eclipses the career . Edn this way degrades the learner but not upgrade. 
19. Building pressure on student  by preponing for early loan repayment that too by generation of income as part of learning adds new vigour/ spin to student learning. 
20. Here, Complex and ancient  problem is converted into an opportunity by generating income out of learning by the learner self..It is real upgrade due to the reason not only one get educated but  emerges as enterprising one.

I WAS CONFLICT WITH MYSELF !  

1. Delighted to be here.  to share my experiments I have gone through.

Many issues you are raised,  I have  confronted in my OWN  way, and  PERSONAL way.  But I thought I would jump in. and every  thing happened because of extreme circumstances in which I was teaching at that time in around 2000.

LIFE WAS GOOD.. SELF INFLICTED  PROBLEMS ! 

I was teaching in a reputed wonderful national institute. No personal and professional problems. Great salary, good accommodation, great location, best students, freedom and autonomy what to do ! then what happend and why it all happen

Great dissatisfaction and discontented  along with the most satisfied ! 

I have everything to do what i want to do

To do something more ! Some thing else ! This is not that I wish to do ! Why I m doing what I am doing

It is surprising ..! Yes. It surprises You ! 

I  was teaching big and beautiful things like leadership, strategy, empowerment.

I realised.. . What all I was  doing .. WAS HARMING AND NOT HELPFUL  

I went there to.. make them happy and  helping  empower them. It is  just REVERSE !

I see what I teach those beautiful and elegant theories have no meaning in the life of my students. Final outcome is they are  more vulnerable, mentally weak, and lazy,

Inside of me, day by day the discontent, agony and restlessness  was growing ..  More Unsatisfied !

For what they are becoming cannot be blamed for anybody else but ME as educator. 2 yrs of education.  Completely in my control . I m there to make them !

The impact  and result of my teaching elegant great management theories is that they  are converted as life time slaves to certain industries.

Most painful thing, I felt was, I was collecting for this and  they are paying  heavy tuition  fees.

Their academic learning is robing them and looting them financially.  This is what I felt.

Every educated, if educated are not,  surely INDEBTED !

In number, 100 % of the the educated I m involved are  surely made into a YES BOSS people !

They are made to do , what they are told to do ! .. My and our score is.. almost 100  percent !

Most are turn into a LOANEE / DEBTORS / A  HEAVY LOAN ON THE  HEAD OF A YOUNG PERSON...

A YOUNG, A NAIVE,  A POTENT PERSON  IS FOR THE FIRST TIME IN LIFE.. SAYS ..I M INDEBTED AND  PROMISE TO PAY..  IF I DONT PAY...  anything you can do ..

I  RARELY SEE  A YOUNG, A NAIVE,  A POTENT PERSON  ABLE TO SAY..

I M FREE; I  M ABLE TO DO WHAT I WISH TO DO ;
I CAN STAND ON MY LEGS !
I WORK FOR CHANGE !

It is taken as a RIGHT strategy  to be done on a young person by many ! 

Slavery, dependence, greed, purposelessness, people living with slavery.

Imagine a campus with 1000 young souls, great location, beautiful classrooms, best salaries, great talks, but in the heart of the institute stark  reality  of life ..

This came in conflict with my self ! 

This is happening batch after batch hundreds and thousands of  students are butchered before my eyes ! From 1998  on wards, till 2005 !

AND OUT OF THIS AGONY, OF SEEING THINGS SO CONTRADICTORY, I  started to think ... What I can do ?  WHAT IS THAT I CAN DO HERE AND NOW !

Mai Kya Kar saktha hu!

IF WHAT I TEACH IS INCONSISTENT WITH ME,  THEN I HAVE NO REASON WHY SHOULD I TEACH THAT !

SINCE I COULD NOT ACCOMMODATE THIS DIVERGENCE - BETWEEN THE REALITY AND THE CLASSROOM , AS A FACULTY I WANTED TO DO SOMETHING..

- Should I leave the teaching career ?There are number of individuals who took FLIGHT mode  to escape convenient destinations. Some leave and talk and criticize.

I CAME HERE ONLY TO HELP PEOPLE !

THERE IS STORY BEHIND THIS ! LATE ON !

IF I M NOT USEFUL TO PEOPLE I FELT LIFE HAS NO MEANING WHY SHOULD I LEAVE MY LIFE, JUST FOR MY SELF !

INVENTING THE SOLUTION

SO WHILE I WAS GOING THROUGH THIS AGONIZING,  I CAME UP SOLUTION OF MY OWN,, WHY DONT I GO OUT SIDE OF THE CAMPUS , CAMPUS IS BEAUTIFUL AND MODERN BUT RIGHT SIDE OF THE CAMPUS TRADITIONAL AGE OLD CETNRUAU WOLD VILLAGE . LIFE IS TOTALLY UNTOUCHED ..SO FORGET THIS ARTIFICIAL CAMPUS , LET ME PART OF THE REALITY OF LIFE IN MUMBAI.

Why dont I guide my students to sell these learning toys ?
Whatever little selling they do, help them in learning, financially. it was crazy idea.. no body had done before. but i was determined.

LEAST HELP PRINCIPLE 

I DECIDED TO DO SOMETHING ..IN SEARCH OF ONE THING, TRYING TO FIND A WAY HOW TO MAKE MYSELF USEFUL TO AT LEAST ONE STUDENT,  ONE TIME, ONE DAY,  I DID NOT REAISE THAT I COULD NOT BE USEFUL TO MANY , DEFINITELY I COULD BE USEFUL TO TO ONE STUDENT. AND THAT WAS MY SEARCH WAS.

CAN I USEFUL TO ONE STUDENT  DOING SOMETHING USEFUL TO ONE PERSON... EVERYDAY I WAS TRYING TO FIND THAT OPPORTUNITY . 
IN THE PROCESS, I FELT A LITTLE BIT BETTER, BECAUSE I WAS PART OF REALITY OF LIFE. I M NOT IN THE ARTIFICIAL WORLD.

I WAS GRADUALLY INVOLVED IN DOING LITTLE THINGS,  HERE AND THERE, THAT ENCOURAGED ME THAT I CAN DO SOMETHING.. EVEN FOR ONE PERSON.

I WAS GIVEN THE IMPRESSION THAT  I WAS GETTING VIEW OF THE WORLD , ONE GLANCE, so like a bird, flying hihg in the sky, and seeing the world BENEATH  FEELING .. yes i can see the world .becuae i m flying high and see lot of things. so the university give me the birds eye view, the view of the bird flying over,

that cam very vivid to me in the village suddenly i see a different kind of view, not a brid's eye view, but a view at a close range, i can touch the person, talk to the person, i can see the person everyday, how he she lives, how he she learns, i felt this is how the view about reality . this gives me WORMS EYE VIEW.. worm, creeping on the soil, get to see the things clearly , unlike the bird,

Bird see lot of things but not clearly because, too far high. the worm creeps on the ground and see things very clearly but very little. but what it sees crustal clear real thing. and i felt very emboldened. happy that i see the real thing. and i felt happy because i could touch the problem.

The problem.. Loan shirks ..

One thing repeatedly came to my notice.. the role of Student loan. lending  money to the poor people and grabbing everything from them .in the name of loans..

Actually it is a pretext. it is a way to find  hook how to get the Gen Y .

Catch you young, naive and needy is the motto of student loans. Once captured there is perfect hold over the student life completely. I see a coordinated working of THREE groups, bankers, industry and academics. All three groups benefit enarmously out of the student. Academics are collecting the fees quickly and hassle free. Loan repayment is the trap laid to lead the young person into the employment offered by the industry. banks get back their loans when as EMI from the salary that is going to be paid. IN the whole it is the student who lost his SOVEREIGNTY. Hundreds and thousands of students are getting trapped into it. Student loans does not smell and sound anything fishy. It sounds so supreme !

It is painful thing to see it. very close range. u see the person who is victimised, u see the person who victimises the other person . both live in the same village. and the more i see, it pains more..

how heartless a human being can be ? so far other human bieng is concerned

and how was trying to redress this problem, how to protect my students ?

I looked into my curriculum of management, never the issue of loan shirks problem was  discussed. I have no solution in my curriculum for tackling this loan shirks.

They teach you lots of things. but not real harsh, immediate and direct damage that is being done to the students. Then I realized it is not with one college, one university but in most of the
Game is same, names may be different.

I find it impossible for me to stop any student taking loan.  it is also a stupid thing to do so. How to protect my students who had taken a student loan is the best problem that should my students, I narrowed down to..Even one student, for oneday and a fraction of protecting them is what I was looking for..

One idea came to my mind, It is not difficult. Why not I lend money myself ? The idea is that If I lend money, the students who need the money they will come to me, if they take money from  me, they need not go to loan sharks  and  they are protected. Because I m lending them money not to exploit them. just to protect them. as long as they pursue that they are saved from loan sharks .I thought it is easy why dont I do that. i started giving my money out of my own pocket ,

people loved it... so easy .. i loved it .. so easy.. that is the begining of lending to persons ,

I have no idea, what banks do,
simply doing it myself, when it grew, it became big, everybody wanted to do Mandi

I was very happy because, every time somebody wants to barrow money, i m helping by protecting a student. I was happy, the more it grew, more i was happy.

Then i started thinking how to make it institutionalizing it. How to inject the method in other subjects also .

everybody was warning me, my colleagues, my students etc. it cannot be done,you are doing a stupid thing, you will loose your money ,I said, if i loose money, it will be money, dont worry about it I will handle it, but until it wont happen, I will continue it. because i see how my students are benefititng from it..and all those warnings came no use because it never happend. it never collapsed. they warning me collapse in a year, it never collapsed.
that thing known as MANDI and spread all over the country

The reason i m telling you all this story because, everything i did in the story that I m telling is DEFIEING what  goes on, NOT accepting what it is.

If I accepted how what  the teaching of economics goes ,all along, I will not move out of it. I will match and it wont match..

So I stayed away from it. So i defied what is being taught .

I wanted to bring closeness to the reality and the teaching that i do in the class room.  and then i bumped into the banking system without knowing what it is , i was trying to find the solution, they are telling me that it cannot be done .

Gave lots of  very brilliant explanations .. I was stubborn..  I did not listen to them

Because again, what happened to me,, gaining what i am, teling about the worms eye view,

I see the reality, as it is. That reality is something precious,

Not what they are saying. It does not match with what i m seeing.
Between what they say and what I see, I accept my worms eye view, than their brilliant knowledge that they have. I have no attention to that.

I relied on what I see, i continue with that.

Then I realized that reality is so simple . We make it very complicated in the class room.

A kind of experts making simple so complex and complicated, so that I can glorify myself as a big  scholar.

I said the reality of life was  very simple.

Nature is very simple, but we dont go for simplicity of it. We transform it into very complicated.

We complicate it stuck and confuse every body in the process, confuse ourselves, I said, i will stay with simplicity part of it. that was happend with the banking system, and that i did it. it works.

Why does it work ? 

Why you violate everything that banking system says. Every aspect of it. but  it still it works .

I said because, I m  dealing with real people real sense, not coming through a theory, and trying to figure out, how it should be done,  I did not do that way . In the process, I violated every single rule, banks have

SPEND  NOW -  COLLECT  LATER ! .... LEARN NOW AND DO LATER... !

The KEY of banking  is all about .....COLLATERAL.  

The whole banking system emerged out of it.  It is the spinal card for the whole system. Have you noticed this ! Paise, Rokada ! Vasool karo ! Jaldee ! JItna Jaldee uthna jaldee ! 

The day one , I dismissed the whole idea, I said no collateral, i can do business, without collateral, you did not need to give anything in exchange of my loan.

How  they do such a thing..? What you will do if they dont pay back ? 

I said, i will deal  it when it happens, if it happens,  not as an assumption.
It never happened, so I continued, and now it happens all over the country, no collateral,
I keep telling Grameen bank is the only bank in the world, LAWYER FREE , no lawyers involved

See, lending 20 dollars you need a lawyer. It is impossible task,

Lawyer will here  to figure it out.. how to do 20- dollar loan to give what kind of documentation, what kind of muscle power to put in to it ,so i dismissed it.

So, everything else in grameen bank we violated one or the other  principle of banking,  including ..... fundamental feature  like collateral. 

The ultimate  conclusion that I came..

If a system  has created  the problem,
if u want to solve the problem,  undo the system,  reverse the the system. 

For example  if the system has created poverty,
by going in certain direciton, it created poverty.

To undo that  you reverse the flow of events, the other way..

The logic is , if go on by the same toad, u will always reach the same destination.

There is no escape form that . if u follow the same road, u will get to the same destination.

If u want to get to the destination, opposite to that,  you cannot do it by  going the same road, the same direction.

You have to change  your  direction, we have to go other direction. and then you reach the goal where you want.

the same road cannot take you to new destination. that the simple truth.

But we all always  trying to do the same things, always and want to solve the problem we created problem already.

instead of building new roads to take us  in other direction.

If you take the totality of the  world today, there is lot of achievements that we have created.

But I come back again and again, what created  poverty ?

My conclusion always as I have seen, with my experience,e ..

the poverty is not created by the poor .

The people behind the educated becoming  the educated are ..  THE UNEDUCATED ! 

The people behind the uneducated continue to remain uneducated are ..  THE EDUCATED !

Who are reason for un-education  ? The answer is  'blowing  in the wind '  BOB DYLON..!

Does it make sense to you ?  this is enormous truth .

When you look at uneducated, you look at them there is something wrong with them, they are lazy, they are trapped in traditional thinking, they lack initiative, they dont have skill. See everything is blaming them  .

I put  it completely different way .  Dont look for their shortcoming in them.

UNEDUCATIOIN is created by the system that is created by the EDUCATED.

System is at fault.

System has become a machine to create uneducaiton.

But you dont touch the system.

So much so,  it is easy to talk about the poor people. not about the system.

It seems  so logical to think so.  and It is working... and So you do  that.

In my own work, without knowing all those explanations,  I simply hit at the machine.

I said I reverse the machine.  I put them into another gear

It brought me suddenly.. I  completely i see new kind of people, people who are energetic, people who are creative. People want to change their fate,  given even one opportunity,

1. I find our students are SMARTER than us. The reason is, our students are born in  times of most SMART technologies are available to them. I jealous them to born in  SMART technology times.

2. Quickly let us realize that what ever  be the STUDENT OUTCOMES  - good or bad - are  attributed only to the  long drawn academic process that is put in place by the academics like me.

I want to be  USEFUL Teacher !

If my  DOING is USEFUL  to students ?

If my  DOING is FULLY USEFUL to ALL students ?
If my  DOING is FULLY USEFUL to ALL students NOW  or LATER ON ?

Where as Useful is easy and Possible !


3.Year on year  SMART students are emerging as sure shot DEPENDENTS, JOB SEEKERS  and SLAVES. There is sufficient evidence for this.  Placement statistics, growing number of job less, job seeking educated, and  battalions of unemployable graduates  is an indication of this undesirable  social outcomes. I also say,  with  due responsibility this is equally shared by most  of my academic colleagues.

4. Academizing process is  full proof system which is ancient in doing this damage. This damaging process is  carried out diligently working  very hard  through the selection of  few most intelligent students, inflicting maximum pain on them during the learning process, looting whatever the students possess  as tution fees, including forcing the students to take student loans, by sodomizing the students.  As a professor I have no right to blame anybody else for this .

5. This undesirable  outcome is result, when I am teaching to my students illustrious and excellent management theories  with an intention to make effective people.

Mandi Master new model of presentation .. 2019



1. Liberation War -   Ended with Victory -  Go through tremendous amount of Euphoria.

What you always wanted just happened .. But in my case, in no time, that euphoria turned into nightmares -

People are dying of lack of  eduction, People are dying for education.. People are dying due to education..

2.  Young management professor teaching elegant theories in classroom, It does not make you feel good. Because your brilliant theories are not of any use to the people !

3. Death due to education you cannot explain.. It is not a calamity, It is not GOD made. It is not just happend.  It is peoople made.. You can find solution. You can find answers and changes.

4. It is not ones and tens studetns dying. But hundreads, hundreads  all and all, every year, every batch are dying and most of them are dying.

5. In situation like that, you have nothing but frustration, agony. One way I tried to lighten my frustration by coming to the conclusion that ..

I m useless as a professor, My brilliant theories of no use.. My academic learning has not oriented me otherwise of all these years.

6. What I can do ? Can I stand next to atleast one student and extend little  use to somebody .Even for a day, one time, .. I feel little bit better.

8. As I start thinking on these lines and meeting my students, I came to know them much more. In a way my students start becoming  a great source of learning for me.

9. One thing, started drawwing my attention was the harshness, and roothlesness of the student loans ! Money lending how it allows exploits the uneducated is well known. But here,

How many people are taking loans ?
How much of loan they are taking ?
How difficult and easy for the people to take loans ?
What the young naive students are thinking when they take loans ?
How the student loans are impacting the careers of whole generation of  young students  ?

.. Educated who dont know how the loans impact their career ?

.. Students, Colleges, Professors, Banks, and Industry, including the Parents  - All find the student loans as the BEST PATH for the students to get education..

Who are real and final sufferers ! S T U D E N T s..

..  Colleges find Student loans  PATH as the quickest way to collect their fees. Professors are also equally happy with this arrangement.. More and quick admissions of the students .

... Banks track virgin, promising generation of people as clients. They are naive and vulnerable, and young too !

..  Industry find the student loanees as most committed and assured workforce.  The bigger the loan, more committed and longer the students work for industry.

... Surprisingly,  even parents, especially poor and marginalized parents  find students loans as the best way to guide their kith and kin for  more and more of higher education. Some parents find student loans as best controllers the wims and facies of their kids.  Young kids to work hard and come up best in life..

Students feeling elated to take student loans and happy to give fees to colleges  as much as they charge .. They need to forgiven.. because, as young men and women, 'They deserve Forgiveness,  Them... For They Don't Know What  loans they Are Doing ! 

It is batalioin of parents, professors, colleges, banks banked by the industry says, a student is at his ultumate vulnerablesss ! 

.. Simply, they feel they will return their loans as they work for some time and earliest they return the loans. It is beyond their  mental imagination what repurcussions job doing, loans will have on  their lives.

Respected  all the  NITIANs, Namashkars to you all ! 

Respected Director NITIE, and Chair person NITIE Allumni association, and Dean Academics, and all my beloved faculty colleagues, NITIE allumni, and my beloved students, 

I feel extreemly happy to receive this illustrious award for excellence in teaching. I love this award for two reasons. One, it is given by allumni, that is special,  and Two, it is my colleagues who picked up my name for this award . It is NITIE parivar who are precious to me.

I accept this award in all humility, on behalf of all my students current and past, many of my colleagues who help me to achieve this accolades, and my family especially my mother whose contribution is immense in my development, and my beloved wife who supports me in all my endeavors .  

I was searching my begining where this award started with.

You have gadgets . Technological, Affordable, Speedier, Sophisticated .. and Cheaper,

Are you aware of this POWER ! .. If u re aware, then  r u using it ? For what .. Are you first using for SWAYATHA - SELF RELIANCE !

Are you using it  help others ? Are you mis using it for none of it ! These are questions I work on ! Hence, People and your college calls me like this.

Let me share my experience on how it can be used ?

I m reflecting on what is that I have done !  Why I am given a award ! That too by my own allumni and my own institution ! 

Academics who wrote books  are invited to speak on their books and research work.

Profs who write articles are invited to speak on their writings .  But my case is different .

I am a fugitive. I m DEVIANT  ACADEMIC !

I m  often called NON CONFIRMIST ! I  am FUGUTIVE !

Have you seen me ! Am I not looking that way ! My look is different !.. A topi, No Tie !

 I utter slogans like a politician - Of course, relevant slogans ! Baecho.. Seekhao..

My vision , My work and my style are different from usual academics !

I distanced myself from the academics ..

You conferred me an award,   for What  I have done. Not for confirming but for deviating !

I m here  before you ..for my  work I have done.. I have done  Mandi and Maha Mandi and Student Startups etc.

I m here for Soacho, Baecho, Baecho, Seekho !

I m here for my slogan.. Shikshana Cha Karcha, Sikshan Mae, Shikshana Sae, Shikshana kae liyae  kamana !

Make students to sell Rs 1000 merchandise, and earn Rs 100 for a day. This is nutshell Mandi.. Around  Rs 2 Crore worth merchandise was sold.. Around 20,000 students done this so far.

My work was, is and will be..

1, I have done are VERY  LITTLE things .. So little that they are u all will laugh at . Helping one student, and day.. I m too little person  !  I work at atomic level I work.. not higher level..

2, I never PLANNED  what I did.. What I m known for Becho.. Bechoo  was not what I intended.. I m not a marketing professor even.. ...... STUDENT - SELLING  was not that I m trained and I m supposed to teach !

DESPARATION WAS THE REASONS.. MANY THINGS BUT THREE Ds..

 - Students are DEJECTED /  AEISHT / OF WHAT THEY ARE STUDYING x Come with liking

- Students are becoming more  and more  DEPENDENTS / NIRBAR HOTA HAI X Come to become independent 

- Students are DEBT BURDENED  / RUNA GRASTH hota hai  X RUNA VIMUKTHI KE LIYA

I was teaching in  national institute... was  excellent  place, well paid job, excellent students.. No problems !

It is great place. My life interest was teaching . What I quickly witnessed was ..

I witnessed that my students are dieing of Suffering, Paining, Fearing, Bleeding, Shaking, It is most pitiable state !

It is not  age problem. it is not calamity ,, It is all and all the students  are suffering of it  the same way !

If it is desease one can understand.. If one dies one can understand !

What I was teaching was the MANAGEMENT subject .. Great  theories...Do you know what is the purspoe of subject of M A N A G E M E N T ! .. that  I teach ?

People surprise when I utter these jargaon !..  Inspirational Leadership, Value Creation, Problem Solving, Innovation ,  Change management in the class room... Very Interesting to talk and listen..

What I was teaching high powered Jargan ! ... Inspirational Leadership, Wealth / Value Creation, Problem Solving, Innovation ,  Innovation, Change management in the class room...

I quickly realized that  I was elegant theories of management , great to listen but no use to the listeners and learners at all. In reality, they are 3 Ds..  Dejected, Dependents , Debt Burdened

 Lot of people say Management subject  is fiction, it is all Gas ! Fiction !

and   not making any difference in their living.  Not even 1 % impact it is  making on their lives.

My great  management knowledge  has no solutions to the problems  the students are facing. Big mismatch of what I was teaching and their relevance .

Great minds are the students..Great is the place Mumbai,  Great are my colleggues, Great, Great .. Some where something wrong..

It is not only in my case, but across all faculty, all colleges across the globe.

This is the turning point  to be  my work for my life . my life mission

It struck me if I am teaching students so  great things , then how come so called   great things, if they  are learning  have no impact on the students ?

How come out of  so many students, at least few of them are not able to find SOLUTIONS for their problems . It is big mismatch ..

I felt I am USELESS and EMPTY. It was UGLY .. Such intelligent students, great theories, great institution,  great teacher like, me still .. and how come this can happen ?  Other less intelegent students, and other  less prominent colleges we can understand .

Suddenly , I DISCOVERED that ..College education  is turning  students as  ..

- Dependents ,  NIRBAR.  Most youthful students are becoming at the mercy of the system - Govt, Parents, Society ,

THREE problems I could see .. Fear of Future !  Present - Pain ! Burden of Past ! 

Bavishya  ka Bhay, Varthaman ka Badha, Booth  ka Peeda ! 

- Debtors..  Students are taking  BIG  loans  for  their education.  Loans are  making them VULNERABLE, People with NO SELF..They got in to the mode of SLAVERY  MINDSET..

For me it look as if it is like Child Mari ages .. !

It was UGLY  for me to see such youth turning in battalions of dependents .  I cannot imagine most youthful person becoming debtors and becomes a toy in the hands of the others ..Surrenders to others and accept any work that pays them to repay the loans . In my view they are loosing their DIGNITY.. Vyakthi ka Garima is gone to winds ... in one stoke with the STUDENT LOANS that they are taking .

DEBT  ANNIHILATES A YOUNG PERSON's  SELF CONFIDENCE  AND SELF RESPECT. One looses  ones  SELF becoming a debtor  at that age.. which is the CORE of a young person !

See.. How a great professor of management who teaches great theories is 100 % HELPLESS !

Surprising.. This problem is not known to most professors !


They never spent time on this .. They spent solving industry problems . Creating new knowledge for  solving the problems of tomorrow  and years to come .. It is might be good work . I cannot comment on it . But surely today issues must be addressed ..!

It is not written and discussed ! Even if the faculty and academics  know of it , they will act as if they dont know of it !


It is not peculiar for me alone. Others also SEE it. But rarely SIGHT IT !

Yes..Reaoson is different. My making is different. I was a tailor turned professor. I m not a IAS officer son, I m not VCs son, I am not Milionaires Lakhotias son, I am a tailors child. Daily wage work I used to do and study all my life. I got govt Schalorships for fees concessions. But to come to a urban set up  like SURYAPET, HYDERABAD  I dont have money. My parents do have money, I have to support my self, So, I used to railoring.. Every day, Rs 100 is my GOAL !

I was desperate to be useful to my students .  I felt that I should start doing something in this regard..

My objective is not big. and gigantic. It is tiny . even  for one student, for one day and  for one thing being relevant for my students was my GOAL . ambition,,.

I was desperate to  be useful to atleast one student, one day for one hundread rupee, a bit of learning used  to my students .

I m desparate to act.. Im interested in ACTING.. I do my own way . I dont not boarrow / copy  ... I do not depend on research solutions . I do not wait for the policy solutions.. I need no fund needed solutions .

I was m no more as professor  to help my students But as a common man.

My interest was not  solving global and national  academic issues.. I may not be able to address such gigantic issue..  I m small professor. I could not think anything else rather than my  own sheer response.. immediately . It is easy to do .. so ..

But I am sure event without  my great management knowledge can solve problem here and now ..

What before me is ..My students, my class and my course was the problem I m eager to work on !

Suddenly it struck me.. I have solution which I can do ..  I have not thought and I have done no research.. I have not consulted any body else . It is me alone and my students .

Students have energy, creativity, dedication. If asked they do give time and commitment.
Problems are shown to them and they work on and find solutions . Amazing solutions .

Industry give problems, Teachers give their problems, NGOs and society give problems .

Students use their INNOVATION to solve the problems !

Students work on  to solve others problems !

They get immensely benefited intellectually, academically !

It is the teachers, industry and society which will get benefited of the work students do !

Students are made to remain as they bleed and pain and fear !. They suffer ! and They die !

That was beginning .. I can do something . Felt good.

It lead to something. Student Loans.... Ugly . Victim and perpetrator  also ..

Idea came to me. I can do something at my level. i need no support outside .

I can do for a day . I did not wait for a day . I said go.. Give you something to do .... and go.. you do .. you will came out of the problem . Got the Mantra !

It became popular.. several times done ... People are seeing me as something I came from heaven..

PROBLEM IS  DIFFICULT .. and Tough..

But the solution is so SIMPLE.. The idea of the solution was ....

Aaj ka pocket money, Aaj ka padai se, Aaj hee kamana !



Aaj ka roti, Aaj ka padai se, Aaj hee kamana ! !



Aaj ka Padai ka Fees, Aaj ka padai se, Aaj hee kamana !!!

It excited me. Immediately I acted on it.  They have done..  First time, 200 students have done. Now hundredas / thousands of students do this .  They are doing for the last 15 yrs .

I gave tiny amount of learning toys to my students . I asked them to sell by apply their learning and also  earn in the process.. they have done. they are doing for the 15 yrs in row. They never stopped.  . Students sell the toys and learn and also earn their one rupee .. first dollar in their life !

They  discovered  the PATH in this process !

The question that came up in my mind is.. If it is so simple process so many students to realise why not it should be done on  more and more students ?

People see me as if I discended from heaven ! I feel puzzled/ embrassed initially. But it continued .

I started thinking... if  you can become angel for doing such a small things, it is an opporutnity for u to do more and more.. and become a SUPER ANGEL !

It lead me to do next step .. doing more of it.. doing at many places  and many students ..

Simple thing I have done.. Why not ask other faculty also to do !

I go there and talk to other faculty, deans, directors , VCs, . they dont even belive.. colleges are not mant for this ..

Dont you know that students are not supposed to do .?

I said.. Is it.. I dont know.

But students  are not capable to do, they dont have conduct , they dont participate.  I sadi how do u know it .. They say they are like that .. I said I had  different experience ..They are enjoying .. They are happy to do it .  Big dialogue !

I learned something from this conversations. I used that .I told.. Why dont you accept me as guarantor.. I sign all  your papers, I take the risk. You save rules .. This time I spoke their language. They cannot throw me out of the window. After lot of deliberations, colleges approved of Mandi .

Not that they are convinced of my work. I thought they are  they are just wanted to get rid of me. Give approval. Anyhow, it wont work , Soon he will understand . awaiting an opportunity when it

So for the last 15 yrs. I sign every time that I am responsible for the Mandi. Colleges allow me to do  Mandi . None of the faculty  took the responsibility for Mandi so far. None of the faculty confident to take the responsibility. They dont believe this is the way to do . They dont believe this can happen.

I found the way to encourage my students to do the Mandi  learning job  efficiently and effectively .

I worked hard along with my students to come up with the ideas / rules and regulations / training / culture, / slogans  how to make the students to pay back, sell well, feel comfortable, learn and earn..

It worked.. As it worked I got excited.. and . My students got much more excited.

My students became teachers for me more than I m a teacher to them .I learnt from them more than what I taught them. Most students are great teachers ! I bend my head as token respect to all of them.

Colleges  and administration still believe that Mandi  wont work. Where as I could see it is working .I wanted to do more. Continue  to do another college and another student cohort, Every time it became successful . More successful it became, more confident I became. But the colleges and other faculty became more reluctant to support this.

In reality, what I understand is that. they are hoping that Mandi will collapse some time or other  ! ..

They keep saying  to me,  you are lucky, hence it is working. Next year , you do mandi again, it will collapse.  However, It wont and goes up again. So they are getting frustrated in their thinking.

Finally , I feel, time has come for Mandi to become a separate system so that this reluctant approval system is no more valid ?

Why not you create separate pedagogical model of Mandi learning model created ! So that negative comments and pull downs will not be there .

Their problem is simple .. Students do have problems and their problems are simple ones ..

  • Pocket money, 
  • Daily living, 
  • Funding their college fee, 
  • Repayment of student loan  etc.
Why not you  learn in such a way that you solve these problems  as you learn ? You also create some value as you work on the problems ! 

Let me modify the learning as part of my course leaning.  Let us start with little earning along with learning. . It is learning and automatically learning !

You can become free from LOAN ! Your regain your self respect ! You can become independent  as much as you will be earn !  You need not wait for your future employment to help you to pay loan !

Little  EARNING  made by student  out of  LEARNING is much more USEFUL than otherwise. The Earning has two uses .. ECONOMIC  benefit and INTELLECTUAL impact . Every student can do this. Mandi  micro selling, and Micro business has shown this to the world that it works to every student and every subject  and every college .

Always entrepreneurial learning is far better than conventional SPENDING education !

It is a questions to the whole academics.. why not this way it can happen ..

Every body can learn . and earn ..

Professors often used to say  ' Poor and Rural Students are not LEARNING WORTHY'.. Learning Layak nahi !

Whenever I hear this, earlier I used to argue with them . Now,  Dont.. After the Mandi and Students enterprises I dont argue. I tell them ..

Should teachers  tell the poor / rural / uneducated students ...they are not learning worthy ? 

Teachers say .. Students dont have AUKAAT ! 

Or the poor , rural, uneducated students tell the professors back  'YOU are not TEACHING WORTHY ?

Why not you change  SCRIPT ?..  Is it not RIGHT to do so ?

Who tell you to deliver this VERDICT ? How useful this verdict is ? What change it is making ? Please note that .. Others also have equal right to give a VERDICT on you ..

Your are not STUDENT WORTHY to teach  ?  Please note who is paying for whom. It is the students who are paying for the teachers .. Not the teachers who are paying for the students ! One can infer who has the real  right to give VERDICT ?

Just because, you dont know how to teach  others and blame them ?  Fault lies with you and not with them . Why dont you fix the problem ?  Why dont you develop a system of leaning where everybody automatically learns ..?

In the name of enriching the students ,   colleges make their students impoverished  !

In the name of Liberate the students they make them


They take for sure,  but if they return is doubtful !

They take more and , if they give is doubtful !

Colleges waste .. waste.. lots and lots of  'Released Potential  of Students'  continuously  as part of learning !

Student  Potential that is released is not Not harnessed .. drained as W A S T E ! ! It is billions and billions !
  • Do you know how much is this  wealth and treasure ! . 
  • Do you know what it is  this treasure is ..! 
  • Do you know why it is drained out ! 
  • Do you know how and what are the methods to harness this  power  ! 
It is like SOLAR power  wasted ! It is like Wind Power wasted ! It is like Rain Water Power Wasted! 

It is Student  Events , Examinations , Quiz tests , Assignments , Projects , Reports , Practicums,  etc. !

While I was struggling with the academics for Mandi and Student Startups ..  I told  few  things to the Academics ..

1.  Academics system  is UNJUST  on several  grounds  .....

You created MOST  PAINFUL process of Learning ..

You created MOST WASTEFUL process of Learning.. Ocean of student potential is getting wasted .

You created EXCLUSIVE system of  Education system  where Less educated, poor, and rural kept out.

You turnout  after prolonged educational process, INCOMPETENT, INCOMPLETE, , UNDESIRABLE NON FUNCTIONING  Youth  in to the society

Mandi is designed not only FOR the Students .. but also BY the students and OF the students !

Mandi is completely done by the students . They plan everything the inventory , training, locations, chief guest, inauguration, distribution of inventory, ethics, Safety and security of the mandi participants, learning and reflections etc.

Students teach to their friends, and their teachers toooo !

Students owning their own learning is the ultimate thing here !

Mandi is SELF financed, and Self Reliant model of learning . Academics do not give single pie to conduct Mandi. Sponsorships , Margins are the revenues to the program

Teaching has 100 % reversed to be Learning oriented system

Mandi method of learning primarily depends on TRADING as pedagogy . Conventionally ART ad CRAFT are the two modes which are tried . Never TRADING is tried as pedagogy .

Mandi is Pedagogically modification is simple road side system of footpath based selling. It denotes that such a simple system can be injected in to so called puristic learning system.

Keeping in view the level of maturity of the students , type of subject that is learned, given context where the college is working .. TRADING can be wonderful pedagogy for UG and PG levels .

This simple trading system can be done by any body and everybody. It does not need one to be elite and highly educated. In reality, poor, rural, and peedith can be best do this and avail it as the system of learning . This we consider as one of the strategies to open up education to poor and rural folks !

Students are encouraged that anyhow you people go round the city. Why dont you carry the merchandise as you go round the streets ? Anyhow you dont loose anything if you could sell or not  ! If you sell it is learning, if you dont sell it is again learning why and how to sell ?
