Before my eyes I see, my students are ruined that too because of my words  and my fraternity efforts  !
Great Lectures are nothing but fairy tales .. and my elegant lectures have no impact to them  !..

My  arrogance of my knowedge.. professor  disappeared ! .. I have to do something  .. as a human being ! .. Why not Do something ! .. Doing is the ..........only thing  before me ..!

I felt useless.. What I am teaching has no meaning to  my students.. hence no value for me . It was successful for but not VALUABLE at all  !

I can do something at my level ! .. I might not be able to do mega level.. But my level with my efforts I can do something what I felt right ! .. Doing is my focus .. Nothing else ! .. Urgency to do is important .

But they need to start from  NOW, SMALL, PRACTICE on PERSONAL PROBLEM...First use it on  FREEING FOR SELF !

1. What I do is  Not planned  and  it is NOT research activity, not consulted , wrote and picked up some where.. It is childish .. crazy, and Kurrapthi act..

2. What I did is .. NOT UNUSUAL.. It is not GIGANTIC ! IT IS NOT GLOBAL ! and MEGA ! . It is LITTLE, SIMPLE, USUAL,  and anybody  and everybody can do.. But no body try to do ! Every body need to do but never it is realized !

Problem seems to be HUGE. But the solution to this problem is SIMPLE I felt. It does not need any resources, plan, and approvals .. Nothing is needed ..

They reluctantly said YES . Done. I was LUCKY that they said YES...

I USED their FRUSTRATIONS  to make them to earn .. Rs 100 / for them  one day !

No .. I m not marketing professor . I do not know how to sell ! I never taught selling !

Money made as part of learning changes  the Learning  and the  Learner  for ever...!

When a student of 22 yrs says ..

I cannot sell my learnng ? I dont do selling of my learning  ?

I do not know how to sell  my learning ?  I Need not sell my learning ? Some ask ...

If I cannot sell .. Do u take them back ? .. What a stupid qns u allow them to ask .

...These words are not his own words . These are  acquired from all around .

These words  are promoted  by the academics only . These are the words that academics are supposed to address .. They forgot their duty and mission. They are doing just wrong things ..

The need to FIX is on the part of the academics to make the students to sell to sell ethically. to achieve.. Blaming the students make no sense  !

- Academics doubt the students saying that they will act UNETHICAL.  It is CRIME done by the academics . It is PAAP !

7. Little selling they did.. Little earning they made.. It is silly .. Rs 400 they sold.. They made Rs 50 / -. Their cost of living  a day is as much as Rs 3000 . 

Reaction is huge. They are  excited.  I was not expecting such a response.

My students stated seeing me as an angle of education !.. Created sensation  among the students ... They think that I have done Miracles related to education .

It is surprising for me tooooo ! Initially it was embarrassment . 

So small thing , so big impact.. If so many people can be made so much  happy learning, Why not do it more ! .. I got inspired and started doing more of it ! 

Mandi has become  my learning university. I started learning  from Mandi .. things never earlier I did..
Students started to own it. They took control of it. They never felt loosing of it . They improved it. They brought new and new things in to it .. Amazing additions are made to it ..

They said.. No way ! .. Education is not selling ! Education is not earning..  Students are not supposed to do such things leading to earning ..  ! .

Chances are that earning might  spoil them ..

.You should know what is education .. They started teaching me a professor  what is the education  and learning .

More my faculty are reluctant . More I became stubborn .. 

I started doing more.. and more.. in many colleges. Mandi expanded to many colleges .

Designed simple rules.. Students they themselves made these rules . They taught me what works and what does not work .. Simple rules.. Schemes,,, Incentives, Teamings !

Education Loan sherks .. Student loans  trap most intelligent people .. Bigger the loans.. and bigger suffer.. Distress ! Loans are taking control of their life. Banks became remote controls ! .Students  loose their SELF,  They  are Squeezed  the most educated and intelligent people  victims of this exercise !  Purpose of life is Loan and Paying off loan ! .. Job is the route chosen ! Golden years of life are gone  waste ! 

70 - 80 % students take to loans .. 99 % percent of the students take to jobs to pay the loans .

Their day to day cost of living is 3 K per day .. 

It is useful for three agencies in tandem... Academics gets their tuition fee .. Industry gets best brains work as slaves !  Banking flourishes through student loans ! . It is the Gen Y which looses in the whole affair !

7. Academics call me . GAREEB KAA .Professor to the POOR !  Gareebh and Buck Mari  ka Professor  . Rarely your find such professors ! It is odd title !

Deshi Professor ! . bholte ! ... I love this title.. I pity my professorial fraternity ! 

I pose a question.. If I am referred to as  Professor to the POOR  .. Just because  I m given this title .. what would other professors need to be called. ?  Other profs  cannot be called just profs, their role is not qualified.  

If am professor to the poor. by virtue of my title, all other Professors are called ..Professors to the RICH.  You can imagine what implications this title has for so many professors ! 

It is unfortunate that in the world we have only  one kind of Professors.. Professors  to the RICH.. There are no Professors to the POOR. I m raising this qun.. is it that  how come education  is  meant for only RICH, who are already educated.. 

To study,  one need to have studied. So surprising !  So tough ! So ruthless ! So unkind  act ! 

Are your parents are educated, are your uncles are educated, Are you from educated background .. Positive answers to these questions always will earn y  favorable results .. unconsciously /  and unwirtten rule  ! 

We have created so many funny universities, and institutes which educate already educated people  ! They dont educate .. uneducated , first time educated, rural, and poor people  ! 

The need is education for the  uneducated. ! This does not mean that educated should not be educated.. Priority must go to the uneducated !  Is it not ! ..

Argument is that Uneduc

8. There is no institution cantering to the education needs of the poor.. in a befitting manner .. It is unmet need. Poor are worthy to impart education. It is sustainable activity. Poor need  no charity / philanthropy.. Rich think that poor need charity . 

9. Pilonthorphy dollar has one life... But Mandi learning  has perpetual life and learning .

10.  Mandi learning method is OWNED by the learners. They teach, and they learn, they organised, they do everything . A to Z. Mandi is owned by the learners . 

11. Wrong INSTITUTIONS, FRAMEWORKS, CONCEPTS , PHILOSOPHIES, ASSUMPTIONS,  THEORIES .. PURPOSES, are created.. and in practice ! 

Public Good education.. Most Private Good that it is created ! 

12. Making money is Mandi is only MEANS ! It is NOT END. End is .. LEARNING ! .. Money is made for Learning ! .. Money is for the NEED. Money is not the GREED. LEARNING is the GREED ! ..

11.  ' You are NO GOOD to Education '  is the verdict academics give to  10X number of people ! .. 

The same  10 X rejects also give VERDICT back in  100  X louder  voice..... YOU 0.001 %  ACADEMICS ! ... YOU ARE NOT FIT FOR SOCIETY ! GET OUT !.. They say !  

Un reasonble man they say .. 

It is not few  who missed out of education.. It is not for one year, one century these people are denied education. But  2/ 3 or the globe  missed out.. What kind of institutions we have created ! .. We celebrate them without helping the 60 % of world population and they are deprived of he education .. 

Our  focus culminated in to .. EDUCATION. TO ALL ... make FEASIBLE AND AFFORDABLE. IN full ! .. 

- Mandi .. and then to Student Enterprises and then to Student Loans .. 


Take aways for Universitities .. Creativity + Technology  make use of it ! 

It is not difficult .. It is possible ! 

Academics may allow  20 % students to give a percentage  of future earnings  as fee in future ! 

Academics may engage students in student businesses and help them to earn the fee that they paid  ! 

Academics may allow top 20 % students to be given an opportunity to have free education ! 

Academics may avoid the students to become SERVANTS  through loans ! 

Academics may  give priority to admit uneducated and rural backgrounds ! 

Academics may give priority to working people  rather than talking people ! 


We need to imagine SOCIAL ILLUSIONS ! .. 
  • ZERO ..UN EDUCATION. 

  • ZERO POVERTY, 

  • ZERO UNEMPLOYMENT, 

  • ZERO UNEMPLOYABLE, 

  • FULL ENTREPRENEURSHIP .

DIVERSION from day to day distress  through Micro Business .. Learning  

Elongated  Engagement in Student Businesses ...........Learning 

Purpose is to overcome Student Loans 

Freedom from slavery and towards enterpreneurship 

Charity dollar has only one life.. 3 Percentage GDP is gone is gone. It is not coming back. It can be planned to come back .. Recoer the learning cost.. In the process learning is enhanced .

2. Mandi is ONE DAY activity ..How come this leads to learning ?

3. It is not integrated with any academic courses ?

4. Why Mandi products are taken from one / two  NGOs only ..

5 . If MBA students decide what is good / relevant for them !

6.There is limit for how much experiential learning  like Mandi ( 0 - 100 % ) need to be incorporated  in a course / program teaching and learning ?

I suffer some FICTIONS .. I have one FICTION for you ALL. You will love that FICTION.. I feel what FICTION I got will RELEASE you all your problems !  This FICTION you can make a FACT with the POWERFUL technology you have in your hands ..

Students JOIN the institute with PAIN !  .. It is TAPASYA ! 

They take PAIN to PAY for their Learning. It is LOAN SHERKS from whom they take loans to pay for their education. Most intelligent people + Hard worked people become PREY  to banks !

All through their learning it is PAIN / SHAME /  FEAR / WASTE / MEANINGLESS learning  ! Every student undergo this as part of their college learning ! This is necessary thing for them . It is paradox .. Most meritorious students going through the PAIN ! 

Great students finish  their great studies in prestigious institutions, after putting great pain and effort  with  huge financial burden tied to their neck ! Most students are indebted.. It is shame that  best brains are imparted great knowledge end up with  huge DEBT burden !

To overcome indebtedness students ready to loose their FREEDOM in next phase by taking up employment ! Pain and trauma  is endless, continuous ,  meaningless , useless, avoidable, irrational..
Nobody tries to address the problem. It is age old problem. Every region in the world has the same problem.. Academics writes papers, books and submit a reports and conducts workshops to others on what can be done. People who suggest also dont  implement. Every body suggests everybody else . 

It touched my heart ! I was in search of a solution . 

My Journey started in NITIE. It took real turn here on wards ! 

I  have peculiar nature . I dont adopt  ready made solutions. I find my solutions for my self. I dont do research. I dont write and conduct workshops, seminars etc. I dont wait for anybody to help me with solutions.  If it is my problem, then  others  solutions are unfit for me .  I have strong belief that my problem cannot be solved with others given solution.. I do as I feel fit .   I just do it. I jump on doing it without waste of time. Typical academics do not take to this approach .

Face to face I have seen it .

It suddenly occurred to  me I can do something about it..

  Why not I make my students to SELL what  they learn from me .  If I make them to earn by selling their learning, extent that they earn will reduce their financial debt that they made. Problem to some extent is reduced. What a big deal. 

I immediately started doing it. 

It is very tiny  amount of money.  I saw how interested they to SELL their learning . They are eager to do. beginnign.. dreamt of. Mandi.. method.. 



If I help them to SELL what they are learning it helps them to get relieved of their debt. It interests them. They 


Problem is Huge ! But solution is so simple . 
Students  can make  everyday little earning out of their learning ! I felt it is the simple solution to all the  students problems  ! .. People big solutions but I look for little solutions not huge solutions. 

Solving the problems with here and now solutions is not NEW for me. I was born in problems and lived in problems, and I learned in and with problems .  POVERTY was blessing for me as student .

 I tried similar solutions as a student  for my own ..! Now I am extending this to my students in much more insightful way .

Thank you very much for the appreciation u showered on me. I m highly indebted for the same . I wish to become worthy of it. I seek your blessings in present and future what I am doing . 


My story starts like this .. 

I m simple academic .. surely interested in academics  like most of you .. I m like you all... 

When I deeply reflect .. I am like this.. 

I CHOOSE TO DO THINGS 
...OF MY OWN, ON MY OWN, HAPPEN ON THEIR OWN 

MAHA MANDI  is  a LEARNING METHOD  IS.. CHOOSE TO DO THINGS ...OF ones own , ON ones own, happen ON ITS OWN 

1. I like ACTION... action on things which are important . I dont postpone the things . Thoght, and thinking does not come to me first. It is the ACTION that comes to me .

2. I do  things which fall under  my area,  under my preview, and my command. More importantly it is NOT under the purview of others.  I choose deliberately  things which even if others dont want me to do, and want to STOP me  not to do, they cannot STOP. 

3. I choose things which NEED no support from others, no approval of others, and need no patronage from others .

4. I also limit and focus with the things that  matters most to my students ..It is direct , immediate and here and now that must matter.

5. What does not matter to me is SIZE and SCALE but IMPACT and RELEVANCE. It is beginning  of RIGHT thing which matters most to me. All combined .. it leads to doing very  LITTLE  things.. People even lough at me by looking at what TINY things I am doing and engaged in .

--  I have seen most of my faculty colleagues work for  academic problems . One such issue that bothered my attention was STUDENTS and their HARDSHIPS in academic learning . 

- Most Students join academics with lot of INTEREST but in NO time they become bored, disinterested and wait when academics will be over. I have seen learning is PAINFUL and WASTEFUL,

-   Best selected students, with HUGE focus  ultimately  MAJORITY turned in to SUBSTANDARD output.

- Education is getting to limited to FEW, FEW and FEW only ! 

Problem seems to be TOO BIG.. and COMPLEX.. But solution which struck to me was so simple !  I have  solution. Let me implement for my  class students, as part of my course trying to address all these issues .  

NO RESEARCH, NO WORKSHOP CONDUCTED, NO PAPER WRITTEN, NO DISCUSSION. IT IS PURELY SELF DECISION.

I told my students they said YES / NO.. but I could win over my students and implemented the solution .. Done that is the beginning. It is happening for the last 12 yrs. It happened in 100 colleges now . It was done by 10K students so far . 

SUUKSHMA solution .. You take little value of educational toys. and go out of the class and sell them in the mandi .. Use the experience to apply, to reinforce the learning . It is for one day . It is once as part of the course . It is small selling may be Rs 500 / -.
